Astrid van de Pas began to practice Tai Chi Chuan in 1992. This stimulated her interest in working with energy and with Eastern methods of natural healing. After a course in Foot Reflexology she received her diploma chair massage at the Touch Pro Institute of Chair Massage of David Palmer in 2001. In 2002 she received her diploma from Joyce Vlaarkamp's Zen Shiatsu school in Amsterdam. In addition to various refresher courses in the field of Chairmassage and Shiatsu, she studied 2 years of Thai Yogamassage at the vocational training Thai Dee. Thai Yogamassage is a combination of Yoga and Acupressure.
Her company – In Touch Massage - offers shiatsu and chair massage at various locations (within companies, at events etc). It is also possible for individuals to undergo shiatsu, chair massage and thai yoga massage treatments at her private practice.

Astrid: 'I like my work. It suits me and I enjoy helping people to calm, relax and be aware of their feelings. It offers me an insight into myself too. Shiatsu brings me closer to myself. I believe that massage on a regular basis, not only prevents health problems, but has more to offer. It raises self awareness by exploring and connecting through touch, feeling and listening-attention.'
